Howard Teich's intellectual project is, at its core, a single idea pursued across five decades and multiple disciplines: that the structure of consciousness is complementary, not oppositional. From the physics of Niels Bohr to the mythology of Joseph Campbell to the alchemical studies of C.G. Jung to the neurobiology of mirror neurons, the same principle appears: apparent opposites are not in conflict — they are cooperative partners, and their cooperation is the generative engine of nature, mind, and culture.
